About Amy

Amy focuses her practice on advising domestic and international clients on a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, commercial agreements, governance issues, and general corporate law. She is known for her practical, detail-oriented approach and for helping clients navigate both the strategic and operational aspects of their businesses.

Amy previously served as counsel to a U.S. subsidiary of a global telecommunications company headquartered in Japan, where she advised on corporate and commercial matters from an in-house perspective. She also has nearly a decade of experience practicing within the corporate/M&A groups of three leading international law firms.

Amy remains actively engaged with legal and international business communities. She is a member of the Japanese American Bar Association, the Korean American Bar Association, and the American Bar Association’s International Law Section, reflecting her long-standing interest in cross-cultural legal work.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, holds a Master of Arts from Waseda University in Tokyo, and received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Barnard College. Amy is admitted to practice law in California and Illinois. In addition to English, Amy speaks business level Japanese and conversational level Korean.
